Knight of Cups will premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in February with an anticipated release later in 2015. His most recent films were 2011’s “The Tree of Life” and 2012’s “To The Wonder”. Based on the dark, moody, inimitable atmosphere of the first trailer, Malick’s Knight of Cups will continue his dreamlike, fantasy immersion of life as he explores celebrity and excess using Bale’s character and his relationship with women.
